Choose a fileFusionPDF crops PDF pages by adjusting the visible area (media box) using pdf-lib — trimming margins, removing unwanted borders, or focusing on a specific region. The original page content is not deleted, only the visible boundary is changed. All processing runs in your browser with no upload.
Upload your PDF. Enter the amount to trim from each side — top, bottom, left, and right — in millimeters. Use the quick presets (5 mm, 10 mm, 20 mm) or type custom values. The crop applies to all pages simultaneously. Click "Crop and download" to save the result immediately to your device.
There are two cropping workflows available. Manual crop: you set exact values for each side — useful when you know how many millimeters to remove. Auto crop white margins: the tool detects and removes white space automatically — faster when dealing with scanned pages that have inconsistent borders. Use manual crop for precise control and auto crop for batch scans.
Crop trims the visible boundary of a page without scaling the remaining content. Resize scales all page content to fill a new set of dimensions. If you want to remove a 10 mm border, crop is the right tool. If you want to convert an A4 document to Letter size, use resize instead.
When you crop a PDF using the media box method, content outside the crop boundary is hidden but not permanently deleted from the file structure. This is standard PDF behavior. If you need to permanently remove sensitive content from a document, use the Redact PDF tool instead, which erases content rather than hiding it behind a boundary adjustment.
