Delete PDF Pages Free — Remove Unwanted Pages, No Upload

FusionPDF removes specific pages from a PDF using pdf-lib in your browser. Click page thumbnails to mark them for deletion, or enter individual page numbers and ranges. The remaining pages download as a new PDF. Your original file is never modified, and nothing is sent to any server.

How to Delete PDF Pages

Upload your PDF. Page thumbnails render immediately so you can see exactly what you're removing. Click any thumbnail to mark it for deletion — selected pages show a clear visual indicator. Click again to deselect. When you're happy with the selection, click "Delete and download" to receive the trimmed PDF.

How Do You Specify Pages to Delete?

The thumbnail interface lets you click pages directly. You can select as many pages as you want in a single pass. The tool shows a count of pages selected for removal and pages that will be kept. You cannot delete all pages — at least one page must remain in the output document.

  • Single pages: click the thumbnail for page 3 to remove page 3
  • Multiple pages: click pages 5, 6, 7, and 12 to remove all four in one operation
  • Deselect: click a highlighted page again to unmark it before downloading

Delete vs. Split: Which Tool Should You Use?

Delete removes specific pages and keeps the rest as one file. Split separates a PDF into multiple output files — by page ranges, by fixed intervals, or one page per file. Use delete when you want a single cleaned-up PDF. Use split when you need separate files for different sections of the same document.

Common Use Cases for Deleting PDF Pages

  • Removing a confidential appendix or internal notes page before sending a report externally
  • Stripping a cover page that shouldn't be included in a submission
  • Trimming blank pages introduced by scanner software between document sections
  • Extracting only the relevant sections of a downloaded multi-chapter PDF

Are Deleted Pages Recoverable from the Output File?

No. When pdf-lib builds the output document, it copies only the pages you kept. The deleted pages are not included in the downloaded file in any hidden or recoverable form. The content is simply absent from the output. Your original file on your device is untouched throughout the process.
