Choose a fileFusionPDF reorders and pairs PDF pages for booklet printing using pdf-lib — 2 pages per sheet, double-sided, so the printed sheets fold into a booklet with correct page sequence. All processing runs in your browser with no upload. The output is a single PDF ready to send to any duplex printer.
Upload your PDF to the drop zone. The tool reads the page count and calculates the imposition automatically. If the page count is not a multiple of 4, blank pages are added to complete the final sheet. The information panel shows how many sheets the booklet will require. Click "Create Booklet" and download the imposed PDF.
Every sheet of paper in a folded booklet carries 4 pages — 2 on the front and 2 on the back. The pages must be placed in a specific order so that folding produces correct reading sequence. For an 8-page booklet, the layout works like this:
FusionPDF calculates this layout automatically for any document length, so you don't have to work out the page order manually.
Your printer must support double-sided (duplex) printing, with flip on the short edge. For content sized at A5, print on A4 sheets and fold. For A4 content, print on A3 sheets and fold. If your printer only handles A4, consider resizing your content to A5 first using the Resize PDF tool before running the booklet imposition.
